Hail and well met!
It’s been more than a year, but I’ve decided to return to the blogging world. I originally decided to quit because it all seemed to be too hard; I’d received some criticism of my blog, and I wasn’t, I felt, getting my message across in the way that I wanted to. I had become muddled. That’s probably reasonable enough. Life is busy, full of distraction, and I’m easily distracted at the best of times.
But I’ve started noticing that I’m missing it. Missing the opportunity to reflect upon what I’ve learnt thus far. Regretting the chance to put my thoughts down in a format that I can return to, re-examine, reflect upon. I’ve always felt that the act of writing is important for more than just communicative purposes. To my mind, writing encourages deliberate thought upon what was, and what might be. I’m sensible (or naive) enough to think that that’s important.
So what can you expect? Well, you’ll hear from me about all my passions, and probably a fair proportion of random musings. Some topics that I’ll range around on might include:
- Australian and international politics
- Education, especially educational technology
- Technology, programming and app development
- Book, film and computer game reviews
- Civics and Citizenship education
- Other things, as they come to mind.
